I hate when games release DLC within weeks of the actual game shipping, it feels to me like they cut it out of the original game and then are selling it to you for extra money.

Perhaps Child of Eden wouldn’t have been “criminally overlooked” and only sold 34,000 copies if it had been priced for what it was: a £10 Xbox Live Arcade game rather than a £40 game that took you ninety minutes to play through. I have a feeling Microsoft had a hand in making that change as The Gunstringer has now gone from Arcade to full retail title and both are high profile Kinect releases.
