People who know me know I’m a pretty laidback guy, it takes a lot to gets riled up. But there are three things in this world that make me instantly see red.
1) Religion - I’m not against religion, if you need something to believe in to be a good person then that’s your prerogative. What I am against is using that belief to take away the rights of others. Gay people are an abomination because a fictional book says so? It also includes talking bushes so fuck right off.
2) Animal abuse - Applies to most animals but especially dogs. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for my dogs or any animal I know. I put a dogs life on par with a humans and I can’t understand people who see it different. We are the most intelligent beings on this planet, it is our duty to stand up and protect the ones that can’t stand up for themselves.
3) Gay Rights - I refuse to be treated different because of something I had no choice in. Did you choose to be straight? No. In this day and age the fact that homophobic people still exist amuses and enrages me. That other people still listen and are influenced by them disgusts me. I made a decision a few years ago to live my life how I want to and not by how society dictates I should live. I am proud of who I am and who I’m married to and I don’t see why we shouldn’t get the same rights as everyone else just because we both have willies.
