Black Swan
The first of the Oscar films I’ve watched and what a way to start. Is it ok to call a film hauntingly devastating?

How odd, Verizon have decided to start pre-orders for their version of the iPhone at 3AM in the morning. What’s that all about? I mean I get that there’s time differences across the US but you could at least make it at a reasonable hour for all. Who’s going to get up at 3AM to buy a phone?

Dead Space for the iPad is rather impressive for a mobile game and really shows how much of a competitor to the DS and PSP iOS is.
It also makes me want Dead Space 2 yesterday.

You know what would be really neat? If you could pre-install Xbox 360 games to the hard drive. They could release the demo as the full game and then when you insert the disc it unlocks the rest of the content. There’s nothing more annoying than having to sit and wait for 10-15 minutes while your game installs and you’re itching to play it.
There might be a new addition to my family on Wednesday.
Stay tuned for more info.
Yay for Being Human being back and being as good as ever.
I have decided that from this day forth I will have an arch-nemesis, it’s name is Monday. We will do battle to the death.

I have 3 credit cards, two of which from when I was a student and one from after. Only the one from after has a balance on it but I’ve kept the other two around for a bit of safety net.
Since they’re both student cards I decided today to check and see if I can change them to normal cards and if that would save me any money. Turns out yes.
My Barclaycard Student card has an APR of...

I wonder how much of a traffic bump the 10,000,000,000th app got on Saturday?

This is the funniest thing I saw last week →
One of the NPC’s in Red Dead Redemption just called me a ‘cocksucker’. This game is set at the beginning of the 1900’s, has that phrase really been around THAT long?

My hubby should be thankful I don’t switch men as often as I switch web browsers. I have no loyalty whatsoever and jump on the newest thing out the door as long as it’s shiny.
My name is Jamie and I am a browser whore.

The most ignorant people in America →
Cos being blamed when someone gets shot after you put crosshairs on them is just appalling. Clearly the left are out for our darling Sarah.

If you’ve got fifteen minutes this is a really good article.
It’s amazing how much nicer the world looks under a layer of snow.

There’s a very smart marketing move being made by small time authors on the Kindle Store. They release their book for £1 for a couple weeks and then bump it up to £3-£4 once they have some 4-5 star reviews. People will often think something is better than it is if it’s cheap.
I don’t mind cos it means I get books for £1.

Yet iOS is stuck with a crapy, slow app that can’t share your photos anywhere. Hopefully they’ll bring some of these refinements to iOS soon.

It still amuses me that children come into my work dressed in Superdry jackets and Bench jeans, carrying iPhones, iPod Touches and iPads, and ask “What’s the cheapest thing I can buy”.

I think I just made/invented the tastiest pasta salad known to man. Fusili pasta, cajun chicken, bacon lardons, courgette, sweetcorn, red, green and yellow pepper, olives, spring onion, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and a dash of garlic Italian flavouring.
It’s pretty fucking delicious.

I was in such a crap mood all day today that I failed to notice (read document) that at FOUR times today (12 hour digital clock only) it was all the 1’s.

I am so disappointed in myself.

Damn you iOS and your inability to work alarms! You’d think after the daylight savings fuck up they’d make sure it never broke again but nope they’re not working again.
