Happy New Year!
By the time you read this it’ll probably be 2011 so happy new year! I’d just like to take this opportunity to wish (yes, you!) all the best in 2011. If you’re on here then chances are you like me (or you’re just checking up on me in which case GET A LIFE) and therefore I probably like you. I hope 2011 is everything you want it to be and nothing bad befalls you.

This starts off like something out of Saw and then ends with characters from Shameless.

Top 10 Games of 2010
I played a lot of games this year, some good, some bad. Some I didn’t play as much as I should’ve and some I played more than they deserved.
1. Halo Reach - A brilliant shooter and my favourite game series of all time.
2. Borderlands - The game didn’t come out this year but it’s DLC did.
3. Mass Effect 2 - Cannot wait for 3 to finish this series.
4. Fable 3 - It...

This kind of situation annoys me. Rent-a-cops on the whole have zero power, they’re no different from you and I. The only power they have over you is the power you give them and that is what they rely on, that you will be intimidated by a uniform that resembles a police one.
I really hope that guy complains to the company and gets the idiots sacked.

Does anyone actually like the brown Liquorice Allsorts?

And I thought Glasgow had it bad.

Shouldn’t “always keep me signed in” mean always? I don’t want it to mean “always keep me signed in for seven months then one day sign me out” because by then I’ve forgotten my login details.
Always means always. Don’t use the adulterers understanding Facebook.
In retrospect staying up til 3am to watch the Buckley clan open their presents might not have been the best idea as I had to get up at 9.
But it was so worth it.
Watching Tim open presents makes me both happy and sad all at the same time.
Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? My Dad answered the phone today with “Hi Jamie”. That, people of the world, is called a result.

One thing I wish Apple’s Game Center did was sync game saves across devices. If I start a game on my iPad I want to be able to continue it on my iPhone if the game is available in the same form. Since it’s all tied to your iTunes account I don’t see why it isn’t possible apart from being bandwidth intensive. Perhaps thats one of the features coming in the revamped MobileMe...

Holy sh*t that's cold
A couple years ago (2007?) my Mum and I went to a cabin in the Lake District for a long weekend. I just went past the resort and the lake was frozen solid! That’s how cold it is in the UK right now. That actually scares me.

If you’re looking for some new music and you like pop with a bit of an 80’s dance vibe, give Happiness by Hurts a listen. It’s very good.

I feel really bad for anyone travelling on the Eurostar today, I just walked past the station and the line was round the block. There were police officers, tv crews and The Salvation Army.
If you want to see the best of humanity, go to the arrivals gate at an airport/train station.
If you want to see the worst in humanity, go to the departure gate at an airport/train station where a train is delayed/may be cancelled.

The seat next to me has been reserved all the way from Glasgow yet nobody has ever sat in it. Which of course has led me to wonder what happened to said person.
Did they miss the train? Get the times mixed up? Sleep in? What if it’s more sinister? Were they trying to run away from an abusive husband and he found out? Did they get hit by a car on the way to the station?
I like to think...

And here...we...GO!
That’s me in my seat on the train to London, lovely shiny Virgin Pendolino train, with not a drop of snow in sight.
I forgot that I booked a seat on the quiet carriage, I hope nobody can hear my music/videos and get moany. I do have my Monster Beats noise cancelling headphones so they’d have to have some seriously sensitive hearing.
Oh well at least there’s no crying tots on...

Oh Apple when will you learn? Collections wasn’t what was missing in iBooks, affordability was. I’m never going to pay more for a digital book than I am for a paper one. It’s no wonder Kindle is still far in the lead.

Who in the world has a king size bed and only TWO pillows? Sort it out Sainsburys. If I’m paying £22 for a duvet set that doesn’t include a sheet I want four pillow cases at least.
Cheap skates.

I’m currently going through my emails in Gmail and unsubscribing my old email address from all the mailing lists it’s been added to over the years. Since I will only be checking it sporadically from now on I don’t want to have to wade through piles of spam and potentially miss an important email.
It is soul destroying.

In case anyone was wondering: Clarkston is now 100% milk free. There isn’t a drop to be found.
Might it be worth investing in a cow for next winter?
I love people that say global warming doesn’t exist because it’s getting colder in the winters.

How mental is the snow today? It was raining this morning and then it started snowing at about 9ish and it’s still snowing heavy five hours later! There are cars abandoned everywhere, buses and trains are off and the sign you know it’s REALLY bad?
